Our history
Background - continuous evolution
Srl Lab.Instruments was born in 1984 in Apulia (Italy), in the beautiful “territory of Trulli and Caves“, between the municipalities of Alberobello and Castellana Grotte, very close to the cliffs of Polignano a Mare overlooking the Adriatic Sea and not far from the “White City” of Ostuni and the famous “Stones of Matera”.
A group of experts in instrumental analytical chemistry with uncommon skills, abilities and knowledge in specific sectors, able to develop and manufacture innovative products with unique characteristics such as Analical Standards, isotopically labeled and unlabeled CRMs/RMs.
Forerunners of the safest pesticide standard production. Thanks to our solutions and mixtures with Metrological traceability NIST, we are among the first ones to be accredited as Reference materials Producer (RMP) for a large number of mixtures used today to produce our famous “LabStandard Explorer Collection Kit”.
Establishment
While the 1984 Olympic Games were taking place in Los Angeles and Carl Lewis was winning four gold medals, in the Apulian land of “Trulli and Caves”, Lab Instruments was being founded. Its members were unaware of this parallel inspiration to “run” beyond expectation setting a new standard just as did the well-know champion.
MIUR Research Institution

LabStandard Explorer Collection Kits
Release of the first LabStandard Explorer Collection Kit on the market. The first one, developed for multi-residue analysis of food and feed, contains 210 pesticides and metabolites in only 6 stable and homogeneous mixtures. The second one, developed for environmental analysis, contains 92 compounds in 4 mixtures with the shelf life of more than 18 months.
QuEChERS QuE-Lab®
Start of QuE-Lab® production, i.e. extraction and purification systems based on the QuEChERS method of the US Department of Agriculture.
QuE-Lab® line is distinguished by numerous types of packaging and a “color code” on labels, caps and boxes which corresponds to the type of matrix from which pesticides and metabolites are to be extracted.
Globalization
Start of international activities. Creation of the first e-commerce platform with an online catalog. Establishment of representative and distribution offices in Serbia, Turkey, Croatia, Spain, Lithuania, Russia, etc.
